I loved her first novel, so I am ULTRA excited for this story that kinda looks like "what if the Ryan/Trey/Marissa triangle in season 2 of O. In this book- Ria was (understandably) severely distressed the entire time - and I really want to know her when she’s in a peaceful state also. I read and loved her YA debut Glad You Exist and was definitely excited to dive into her adult contemporary one, but I did not expect to feel so much through this book!When they’re reunited - with their baby son - they discover their separation was for their own safety and that a criminal lord is after them both. once i started that very compelling prologue, i just couldn't put it down, and it held my attention until the very end. She’s been told one thing the last year to keep her safe and despite seeing that things are not what they seem, she���s holding onto what she’s been told. because now that he’s found her, he’s not letting go, and Noah will do anything to protect what’s his. This is a bit of a brick (450 pgs), but when I'm ready to commit, love the idea of a " clever contemporary YA retelling of Henry VIII and his wives (or, in this case, his high school girlfriends).
